Die'sire Create-A-Card Accordian Card... and a little announcement

Hello folks! It's a Die'sire weekender over on Create and Craft.  The lovely Leann Chivers is on right now demoing the fantastic accordion dies.  I was privileged to be asked to create the sample to be used on the packaging :)  The weekender includes the Christmas Overlays, which are stunning.  I'm sure the beautiful swirly overlay I used above will be available soon.  I also used some of Sheena's flower stamps which I stamped and watercoloured with my Spectrum Aquas.  The letters are cut using the Die'sire lowercase alphabet dies through, my signature, funky foam.

As I'm sure you are aware, I am super busy with all the gorgeous projects that my Design Teams require and have decided to concentrate on sharing my makes on Facebook and Pinterest.  This will be my last blog post.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank my loyal followers for the years of wonderful comments..... I hope you'll 'follow' me over on Facebook and Pinterest.
See you there!

Christmas Classique Die'sire dies

Hello folks!... I've been busy creating samples for the brilliant Crafter's Companion Weekender on Create and Craft today featuring the fantastic new dies 'Christmas Classiques' from he Die'sire range.  I absolutely adore the amount of detail that they have managed to create with the tiny dies.
I decided to create and easel card using Kraft cardstock.  I cut all the pieces out in Kraft card (except for the candlesticks which I cut from a tiny scrap of gold mirror card.  I added the colour using a combination of my Spectrum Noir pens, white acrylic paint, mica paints and distress inks. I die cut the tiny flowers from red glitter card and added tiny gems to the centres.  With the addition of some red ribbon my card was complete.
I hope you are able to watch the shows on Create and Craft and grab your own set.
Ciao for now!

Flights of Fantasy collection launch....... or grown up colouring in :)

Hello folks!  It's nearly time for the fab new collection to be launched from Crafter's Companion.  It's the beautiful 'Flight of Fantasy' collection with artwork by Morgan Fitszimons.  I had so much fun colouring this image that I did it twice.  For the larger one I used my Spectrum Noirs (just the BG's) and the smaller one I coloured with my Spectrum Aquas.  I added a lick of iridescent gold acrylic paint to her wings on the smaller picture.
The lovely wood panel backing paper is printed from the CD rom. This will be useful for so many projects.  The filigree butterfly was die cut from Kraft card and I backed it with some teal vellum before adding a few tiny gems. The Grace Frame was cut from glitter paper, chopped in half and positioned behind the large panel.  I just added a couple of scraps of ribbon and my card was complete.  I was really pleased how this one turned out.... it's quite a big card for me, I usually work on a smaller scale.
Here is a peek of some of the other digi's that are on the CDrom and below are the show times to look out for.  For more inspiration hop on over to the Gallery Here.

Another Scruffy Little Kitten card

Hello folks!  I hope you are enjoying Fiona's Scruffy Little Kitten shows on Create and Craft TV.  Here is another one of the sample cards that I made.  This time I stamped the image and watercoloured it with the Spectrum Aquas.  A little ripping and tearing created the topper. I die cut the beautiful Chantilly Lace die from centura pearl card and embossed the base layer with flutterby butterfly Die'sire embossing folder.
The flowers I printed from the Scruffy Little Kitten CD rom, cut out, inked and shaped before adhering in a big cluster towards the bottom of the card on top of the large ribbon bow.  A few gems and some Ice Stickles finish off the card.

Scruffy Little Kitten

Hello folks!  Wow!!!! What a fantastic 4 Day Deal launch of the Scruffy Little Kittens range on Create and Craft this morning.  I absolutely LOVED creating the samples for this range.
I just adore little Charlie, with his boots and his watering can. I thought he would look cute in a box card.  I stamped, watercoloured with Spectrum Aquas, and cut out the images.  The flowers are actually stamped from some of the 'girl' stamps from the set.... they are snipped from the hair and clothing accessories.  I stamped the sentiment onto Kraft card, cut it out and curled he edges. I glued it to a wooden coffee stirrer  before adhering to the card.  I added a few butterflies on some bendy acetate so they boing about and look like they are fluttering. With a little ribbon here and there... my card is finished.
I know I'm a big kid but I still get really excited to see my cards on Create and Craft :)

Butterfly and flowers Scrapbook page...and a new DT for me!!! Yay!!!

Hi folks! Hope you are fine an dandy.  It's been all quiet on the blogging front for me as I have been busy busy crafting, working and enjoying family & friends time..... making memories and taking lots of photos for future scrapbook pages :)  I have an exciting announcement to make.......  I have been invited to join the Spectrum Noir TV Show Design Team.  Yay!!!
The page I am sharing today is one of the samples that I made for Sara Davies to take to America for her Home Shopping Network Show earlier this month.  I took an 8"x 8" piece of Kraft card and stamped the background with the tiny flower cluster from the Always Floral Little bit Sketchy stamp set with Versamark to create the subtle watermark look.  I then popped a tiny bit of glitter in the centre of each flower.  I punched the photomat with my favourite EK Sucess boarder punch.  I also added some ribbon to the frame to add more texture.
The flowers I stamped and embossed onto coloured vellum.  I cut these out and gently shaped them before adhereing.  I stamped the vines and leaves onto Kraft card and coloured with the Spectrum Noir colouring pencils before cutting out; gently shaping and adhering to the layout.  I added brown gems to the centre of the flowers. The butterfly is made in the same way as the vines, but this time I added brown glitter (you can really see it in the middle picture.  Then I added, my signature, funky foam die cut letters for a title that simply says 'Isabelle'  I used the Die'sire lowercase alphabet die set and because I haven't got the Upper case set yet, I chopped down the  'H' in the Die'sire 'Happy Birthday' sentiment to create my capital 'I'. I finished off the page by adding a large bow.
I'm going to have to make another one of these to add to my own collection as I love it so much :)

Sandra's Kimono Screen Card

Hello folks!  Here is my version of the ever popular oriental screen card. I started by accordian folding some Kraft card.  I used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut out the rectangle panels.  I used a label die to cut out the shape at the bottom of the screen and form the feet.
I embossed some parchment with the Oriental Birdcage embossing folder from the Kimono range,  glittered some of the embossed areas and adhered to the apertures using red liner tape.
I stamped the beautiful images, from the Butterfly Silk stamp set and the Lotus Flower stamp set, onto watercolour card an painted them with my Spectrum Aqua markers.  I cut them out by hand and glued them into place.
The Branch and blossoms were also die cut from watercolour card and painted with Spec.Aquas, then shaped and adhered into place. I took care not to place the branches across the centre folds so that the card can still accordian fold up.
I think the the deal on Create and Craft is limited stock... so head on over of you would like your very own collection.
Ciao for now!
